Heathrow Airport – 4 years

  • Head of Airside Operations – responsible for the airside team of 200 people and budget of £25m to achieve world leading airport service to ninety airlines.
  • Created and led business transformation programme ‘The world’s benchmark airfield’ incorporating facilities, equipment, operational processes and people development.
  • Designed and delivered world leading aircraft operations flow control processes, combining airport, air traffic control and Met Office teams, to improve punctuality and utilisation targets.

British Airways – 5 years

  • General Manager (COO) – responsible for leading British Airways ground operations at Gatwick Airport and a £50m direct budget.
  • Full operational, P+L, safety, quality, strategic, product and business development responsibility. 1000 direct staff and fleet of 40 Boeing 777, Boeing 737, Airbus aircraft.
  • Managed all passenger terminal activities: customer services, check-in, baggage, loading, aircraft engineering, ground equipment, and property.
  • Operational delivery for all functions including flight crew, cabin crew, cargo and sub-contracted services. Executive team accountability for creation and delivery of business turn-round/transformation plan.

British Airways Engineering – 5 years

  • Responsible for aircraft engineering operations at 140 airports across British Airways’ global network.
  • £43m budget and accountability for quality, technical, cost and operational delivery of British Airways and other international airlines’ aircraft.
