Air Discount Scheme for the Highlands and Islands

The Air Discount Scheme for the Highlands and Islands has been launched, providing 40% discounts to Highlands & Islands residents on flights to key centres within Scotland. Aviasolutions has supported Scottish Executive in the development of this Scheme, which was notified to the European Commission under the “Aid of a Social Character” regulations. Our role included evaluating potential options, dialogue with regulators, forecasting take up of the Scheme, and discussion of implementation with airlines.
