AviaSolutions advises GIP on its acquisition of Edinburgh Airport

Global Infrastructure Partners (“GIP”), a leading independent global infrastructure fund manager with significant equity holdings in London Gatwick and London City airports, has reached agreement with BAA Airports Limited (“BAA”) to acquire its 100% interest in Edinburgh Airport for £807.2m. Edinburgh Airport handled 9.3 million passengers in 2011 generating £48.3m EBITDA.

AviaSolutions  worked closely with the GIP team to develop long term traffic, business plan and capital expenditure forecasts for Edinburgh Airport with detailed analysis to support the successful bid.
